Ha, I never thought about how my life could have been different if I was born a boy. If I think about alternate realities, there could have been, in fact, soooo many of them, it's overwhelming. Literally every (even small) decision in our lives takes us one path, leaving out hundreds of others away.

omg, right?! trying to think of all the possibilities is interesting, but i definitely ran into that issue while writing this - like an actual crisis of needing to step out of the things i've learned in this life, and dreaming about this other person (who is still kind of me??????).

Wow, this was amazing. Like, as a thought exercise and a voyage of self-discovery / expression. Just... Wow. Thanks for this. <3

I would have been Molly, by the way. And this post had me think a lot about how things would have been different. Very different.

madhatter!!! i'm so glad u enjoyed reading this 🥺🥺 it's so interesting, because i originally started writing it from kind of an intense place of frustration, but came back to it more introspective; it was a bit jarring at first. and i love the name molly 💖

That's so cool that this post ended up more than even you (and Christopher, hah) expected it to be.

Yeah, my Mom was raised by her Grandma, and that Grandma's mother's name was Molly. My Mom was 100% convinced that's what she was getting until she was 0% convinced on a long ago September, hah.

I can see so many branches in my story that would have been radically different. Like, I mean it, this was so cool. Way, way cooler than the new Ant-Man movie.
